ITOS offered for the first time in our country, and during the celebration of the Festival Vigo SeaFest 2018, a new mobile payment experience with the use of its Smart POS CM5.
The event, which took place from July 5 to 8, is a reference event in Spain for seafood gastronomy and a meeting for the whole family. In its second edition, 23,000 square meters of the nautical area of Vigo welcomed more than 100,000 people attracted by an extensive program of showcookings, concerts and sports activities. This year, as one of its novelties, attendees were able to make their purchases and payments, quickly and conveniently, in more than 50 stores through an innovative Point of Sale terminal, the Smart POS CM5, as well as the mPOS ITOS BP-50CL. The positive balance of this fact is reflected in the figures of 50,000 transactions carried out and 0 paper consumption, highlighting the sending of the digital ticket to customers who requested it.
ITOS is thus leading the changeover to mobile payment technology with the first use of this type of terminal and consolidating its position as a provider of innovative payment solutions. According to Velianna Ivanova, ITOS R&D Director: “The Vigo SeaFest festival has been an ideal opportunity to introduce our state-of-the-art mobile payment device to retailers and catering businesses, which can also be integrated with the business management application”.
The CM5 is a POS with integrated payment method that allows you to manage sales and accept payments anywhere with magnetic stripe bank cards, chip, Contactless, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, among others.
