In 2021, bonÀrea faced a key moment in its technological evolution: moving towards a new generation of devices that would allow them to continue improving their logistics processes, while maintaining their commitment to efficiency and innovation. With the migration to Android as a priority, the company needed a solution that would natively integrate specific functionalities such as HF RFID reading and recording and barcode reading, within a compact and robust terminal.
It was then that bonÀrea and ITOS Technology joined forces to tackle this challenge with an innovative and fully collaborative approach.
A solution designed to meet real challenges
After an exhaustive needs analysis, the ITOS Auto ID team proposed a custom development based on the IC-58device, specifically adapted to Bonarea’s operational requirements:
- High-performance 2D barcode reader
- Integrated HF RFID reader/writer, compatible with your standards
- UHF RFID reader/writer
- Compact, robust design with no external elements
In less than four months, the first working prototype was ready. The response was immediate: the solution not only met expectations, but exceeded them, quickly becoming the new operating standard for the company.
A relationship that grows and looks to the future
Since then, the ITOS IC-58 is the only terminal approved by bonÀrea for its work environments, and the partnership has continued to evolve. New versions have been added, such as the IC-58U and ergonomic bluetooth readers such as the IW-40ER to cover other operational needs.
Currently, both companies are working on new joint developments, and what started as a need with no apparent solution has been transformed into a great opportunity thanks to innovation and teamwork.
